class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Learning disabilities are\u00a0lifelong challenges with reading, writing, and math. They can impact people at school, at work, and in everyday life. Learning disabilities (LDs) affect how your\u00a0brain\u00a0processes information. This could include how you:<\/p><ul><li>Acquire (take in) information.<\/li><li>Organize information.<\/li><li>Retain information.<\/li><li>Understand information.<\/li><li>Use information.<\/li><\/ul><p>LDs can involve verbal (words or speech) and\/or nonverbal information. They typically affect how you read, write and\/or do math. They can range from mild to severe.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f5ae3f0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"f5ae3f0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">How common are learning disabilities?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d992e30 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d992e30\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Learning disabilities are relatively common. Researchers estimate that 10%-15% of all children globally have a learning disability. Dyslexia is the most common. It accounts for at least 80% of the learning disabilities. About 10% of all the children with a learning disability have Dyscalculia (problems with counting). Another subgroup is intellectual disabilities (IQ of 70 or lower) Intellectual disability affects about 1% of the population. About 2% of all the children is gifted (IQ of 130 or more).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b9a5e52 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"b9a5e52\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Learning Disabilities in Vietnam <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f7c7712 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f7c7712\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>People with learning disabilities in Vietnam are not identified as having a disability. Only 0.5% of children with severe learning disability are educated in special classrooms, while research shows that nearly 15% of the students in Vietnam have a learning disability. This means that nearly 3 million children, living in Vietnam, do not get the additional support they need to develop to the fullest. One of the main problems is that teachers are not educated to identify learning disabilities and are not able to deal with them. People with\u00a0 have trouble with math at many levels. They often struggle with key concepts like bigger vs. smaller. Often, giftedness is suppressed or unnoticed.
